If an all-glass house has been purchased it is as well to line the lower part during the period when in use as a propagating house, using either sheets of polythene film or roofing felt, to help maintain a more effective temperature control.
The greenhouse should be as large as the pocket and the amount of available space will allow because, strange as it may seem, large greenhouses are much easier to handle than small, for a variety of reasons. In the main a small house will be far more subject to wide temperature variations, heating up rapidly when the sun is out and cooling rapidly at night. It is much more difficult to maintain that indefinable rightness for growing that the gardener, for want of a better term, calls “a buoyant atmosphere” and the problem of heating is rather greater.

Microbiological contamination of the spice largely results from the long ‘fermentation’ process and the length of time required for sun-drying during which the berries are exposed to the elements. Contamination can be minimized by preventing the berries from coming into contact with the soil during harvest and handling and by drying on suitable raised racks. The problems of infection by micro-organisms and mould formation are greatly reduced if the berries are dried by artificial means. The temperature of drying must be carefully controlled, however, and it should not exceed 75 C since at higher temperatures loss of volatile oil by evaporation can ensue. Artificial drying of the berries by exposure to smoke from a wood fire can detract from the aroma of the spice.
The dried berries should be stored under as hygenic conditions as possible in a cool, dry atmosphere to prevent quality deterioration. The susceptibility to further infection by micro-organisms and development of mould are reduced by maintaining the moisture content of the spice below 12 per cent.

I’ve seen a number of different articles regarding decentralized authority lately.
Mark Joyner recently put out a report called, “Rise of the Author”. It’s about how you’re automatically an expert if you publish a traditional book. He says you ought to do it soon because books are going out of style. But only do it if you want to be famous (probably not at all his point - that’s just what I got out of it).
Doctor Douglas wrote an article about how doctors are firing patients who do their own research and have concerns about diagnosis or prescribed medications.
When asked about his opinion regarding Neuro-linguistic Programming, Harlan Kilstein said it’s dead. He feels no advances have been made recently so that’s that.
Ryan Healy thinks any hypnotist you work with ought to have at least as much training as is required of barbers. No doubt the thinking is that the inside of your head is much more important than the outside.

M. I. kerchoveana is much better known and has pale green leaves with distinct dark blotches which give it the common name of rabbit’s tracks. Another common name is prayer plant, because of the plant’s peculiar habit of folding its leaves together like hands in prayer as darkness descends: If these arc eared for in the same way as the first-mentioned maranta they should not be too much trouble. Provided a heated propagator is available both can be increased by means of cuttings taken at almostany rime; the top section of the plant with some three leaves attached will give the best results.

The simplest and traditional method of establishing a pimento walk or semi-wild plantation in Jamaica was to use self-sown seedlings or seeds which had been distributed by birds, which sprang up along fences and in thickets, where they obtained protection from livestock, from the sun and drying winds. The seedlings were then preserved at a spacing of about 6 m when the land was cleared and put down to pasture.
At one time it was thought that the seeds would only germinate after passing through the intestines of birds. However, it was found that when seeds were planted almost immediately after extraction from fresh ripe fruits, some seeds germinate in nine or ten days and germination continues over an extended period.

Have you ever had a job interview where you wondered why in the world the prospective employer was asking certain questions that you thought were strange? If you thought they were strange, then you were probably right. There are certain questions that shouldnt be asked during a job interview. As a matter of fact, federal law prohibits an employer from asking questions that are not relevant to the job. All questions should be related to the job and not used to gather personal information.
Here are some of the job interview questions that you should not be asked during an interview, but employers tend to do it anyway:
What is your ethnicity? What is your sexual orientation? What is your religion? Do you attend church services regularly? Where were you born? How old are you? Do you have any disabilities? Are you married? Do you have children?
